What knife would you choose?

Okay guys I'm a little obsessed with the hobbit movie coming out next year and though this might be interesting. Imagine for a moment if you will...you're thrown in to middle earth with just enough time to get one pocket knife to take with you, what would you choose? You can choose one you don't have, and it would be a backup to your bitchin sword that your new dwarf friend will make for you later. Mine would have to be a strider smf, strong and would probably scare the bejesus out of an orc.

Merry Christmas!

I think a Svord Peasant or an Opinel would fit the setting. But if I chose a modern knife I would pick a fixed blade with a 5-6" blade. Maybe an ESEE 6 or something.

grayman satu. no questions asked, just a big rugged folder. either that or a balisong, i bet legolas would be awesome with one ;)

you have thought about this way to much my friend.

starwars lightsaber lol nice xD I could see a svord peasent in middle earth for sure, and I could deff see legolas rocking a balisong.

Wilson Combat .45 with about 2500 rounds...

....what, with the right cargo pants I can fit it in my pocket! :D

(Seriously, if you're talking folder, Andrew Demko Custom XL Espada)

would probably have to go with a Recon 1, or Demko Custom. but I'll settle for some mithril maille

Case #6265 two-blade Folding Hunter, CV blades. Large clip-point for general cutting chores, shelters, etc., secondary drop-point, for finer cutting, food prep, cleaning fish & game, etc.

I'd use the back of the main blade for striking the flint to start our daily fire.

The Strider SMF would be good. I only have a PT and that may be too small so for a "pocket knife" and i'm assuming there's no knife laws in "middle earth", i'd grab this Paragon, a double edge could come in handy down there.
