What knifes lock in close position?

First one that comes to mind are the button locks by Lone Wolf designed by Paul W. Poehlmann. Gerber made some of these in two series in the 80's and 90's and now Lone Wolf is producing them.

If you scroll to the middle of this page you will see the regular production line, they have also made some "fancier ones" in limited numbers.

The Paul knives that Lone Wolf sells lock open and closed. There are others, IIRC, but that's the only one I can think of at the moment.

You can check the A G Russell site to see some of them.

gt knives lock open as well as closed but i think they are out of business.

Kershaw Leek, Centofante, Baby Boa, and Chive come to mind. Also the Sog Trident. Don't the Boker Top Locks lock in the closed position also?

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I have right now that's handy to look at.

Almost all of your coil-springed switch blades will lock both open and closed. Legality may be an issue, but if it's not, that's the way to go. Check out Microtech, Protech, Benchmade, to name a few companies.

The Paul Chen Citizen knife is another one. Unique-looking, to say the least.

Butterfly knives lock open and closed if they are equipped with a latch.

Kershaw Scallion as well as all of their other assisted opening knives I think.

My SOG Flash II (and probably the Flash I) and Twitch XL (and probably Twitch I and II) all lock closed.

There are little levers/switches that you can flick that lock the blade closed.

Kershaw:
Leek, Chive, Spec-Bump, Speed-Bump, Scallion, Baby Boa, Mini Mojito, E.T.,

Sog: See aforementioned ones by other users :)

Buck: Tempest (also an assisted opening, and honestly the design of their 'lock while closed' position is much nicer than Kershaw's)
