Are there any knives you either traded or sold, which you regret ever getting rid of?

If so, what knife was it and why to you regret getting rid of it?

I regret having to sell my DDR Madd Maxx and Joel Pirela/Allen Elishewitz Trans-Metal so that I could afford to buy another custom that is coming soon. They were both very nice knives. The Madd Maxx was a actually wonderful knife.

Oh well, I'll bet you that I will feel better when my Pronghorn from Ed Fowler gets here. :D

MANY years ago I had a NICE Kershaw Trooper "dagger" that I WISH I still had. I don't remember why I sold it...:(.

And then there was a Gerber BMF that I sold a couple years ago to a fellow "Forumite" (I was "in-need" of some cash)...But at least THAT is being rectified, as I have another (NIB!) BMF "on the way" from a recent trade.:).:).

Emerson custom CQC7. It was one of my first customs, I kick myself daily.

I regret losing any of the custom knives I end up selling or trading off. Some more than others. One in particular is the Tim Hancock bowie that is, I believe, currently listed on Knifeart.com. I was the original owner of that knife, got in a financial bind a little while ago, and sold it. Hmmm, I wonder if the wife would let me buy that since the 30th is our 10 year anniversary?

I thought I that bowies were the ultimate so I traded away my ultimate camp:( :( and now I don't care for bowies

as my wife would say, "I told you so, you are so fickle especially when it comes to knives"

well the fun part is you never know what I will wind up with. always something new around the corner.

I had a Benchmade 850 Pearl with "rec.knives 1997" which had been custom made for the newsgroup. I got it in a trade, and it was the most beautiful production piece I have seen to date. I never carried it, and decided to trade it for a MT LCC D/A. I really like the MicroTech, but miss the Benchmade even more. Someday I'll have another...

Camillus 154CM EDC. It didn't really work well in my hand, but there was something about it.

Back around 20 years ago, my dad got this Case XX bowie in one of his many escapades as a horse trader. It had a plaque you could hang the knife and the sheath on. I always wanted it. One day he traded it away to a guy and I figgered it was gone. A couple years later I remembered who the guy was, and went to his house to see if he still had it and wanted to get rid of it. He did, and I bought it off him. It was one of the coolest knives I ever owned.

I had that knife for years, up until about a year ago. I wanted a custom, so I put the knife up here and got no response on it, so I put it up on eBay and away it went. To this day I regret selling it off. It had a picture of Jim Bowie etched on the blade. Not the face one, but the pic of him holding the knife in question. It will never leave my memory.

I keep checking eBay now and then to see if the guy ever puts it up, but as yet, all I have is that regret. Aw well.

A 5" Custom Bali-song Skeleton handled WeeHawk-Tanto Pacific Cutlery by Jody Samson. Never carried or flipped w/ original cocoon. It's out there somewhwere:( :( ;)

I had a Trace Rinaldi Sharktooth (ivory micarta handle, 4" bg-42 tanto blade, kydex sheath) that I traded for another knife... I use that knife a lot more than I used the sharktooth since I consider the knife I got to be an outdoors / survival / camp blade, and the sharktooth was more of a self defense knife. (carried a lot but not used too much)

Even though I didn't use it much, I miss it like crazy! It was an easy carry and it was a really beautiful knife. Mr. Lucas - I hope you like it, cuz I sure miss it!

What? Getting rid of knives? No way man!!
I'd rather trade or get rid of my mother than any of my knives, even the ones I don't really like that much.
Yeah, ok I'm a knife nut.

I'm gonna die with my knives. That reminds me of an old Busse ad!:)
