Just curious, guys: What are your favorite magazines that aren't knife-o-centric. Specifically, I'm looking for recommendations on good outdoors, hunting/fishing, hiking/camping type mags. I'm asking here because us slipjoint lovers have sort of a common view of things. :)

Other than knife mags, here's what I get: National Geographic, American Hunter, Reader's Digest, and have sadly allowed to lapse... Outdoor life and Field and Stream.

I subscribe to Tennessee Sportsman, Better Homes & Gardens, Readers Digest (paid for by my Dad), Outdoor Life, Field & Stream, American Hunter, Shooting Times, and a few others. I don't subscribe to knife magazines, but I regularly look at them at the news stand. I also enjoy looking at the woodworking magazines.

Backwoodsman is a good read. American Rifleman as it comes with my NRA membership. That's about it these days. I've kind of gotten tired of magazines. Too much BS and product pandering thinly disguised as journalism.

I wanted to respond to the basic question, "What magazines do you favor?" with, "15 round Glock mag loaded with 165gr Hollow points." Just like I've always wanted to respond to, "How would you like your eggs cooked?" by replying, "Non-embryonic." But I don't want to be rude. :)

I get Gun Tests, which doesn't pander like a lot of the gun mags. Its a pretty "slim" magazine, however, that takes me about 10 minutes to read.

I also like many of the car mags, to drool over cars I can't afford and wouldn't buy if I could.
