I have recently been the recipient of a great kindness from one of the forum members here, Chief. In the mind blowing Primble give away thread Chief donated a beautiful clip-point Charlow. I was fortunate enough to win this fantastic knife and count myself truly fortunate to have been the recipient of such kindness. Unfortunately my internet is playing silly beggars at the moment and I can't post pics but I would just like to say a huge thankyou to Chief for his kindness, the knife is my first GEC and my first truly high quality folder as well as being my first pocket knife in carbon steel.
A very wise man once told me that kindness to a stranger is the surest indicator of greatness. As this knife comes to me through the generosity of a stranger who donated a beautiful Ebony charlow it shall always be very special to me, the mind-blowing generosity took me completely by surprise and for the combination of these reasons it is of very high value to me.
The generosity of the gift has made this knife special to me so I would like you to chime in with reasons why a knife is special to you.
And once again a huge thankyou to Chief.
James.

No doubt about it. This trads forum is truly one of the greatest places on the net.

I feel the same way about an Ahti Tikka that Humppa so generously gave me. It has an honored place in my collection as it's one of my few truly favorites I carry and use often and will always keep.

This Gerber Silver Knight was given to me by Ed J, known here on the forum as TLARbb.

I had responded to a thread about long-time EDCs with the tale of my roughly 14 year carry of a Silver Knight, and my subsequently losing the knife. Out of the blue, Ed PMed me for my address with a couple questions about my size preference, and a few days later this beauty came in the mail. To commemorate this most thoughtful and treasured gift, I now use the pearl Gerber every Christmas to open gifts. Thanks again, Ed J.

The first knife gifted me here was from VCM3/Vince. I hadn't even ben on BF that long. The generosity here is truly astounding.

This Kutmaster is going to my oldest brother when we next meet face-to-face. Was supposed to be this month, but now looks like not until next spring.
