My roomate is a knife lover just like I am but he has this little problem. He sweats out of his palms too much. Every time I get a new knife he finds a reason to pick it up, and sweats all over it. Then I have to go to my room and do a full wipe down with some oil to prevent any rust. I now know why all of his knives have some sort of coating on the blade. He asked me to sharpen his Emerson Spec War for him a while back. I remember the day prior I had seen the knife and it was fine. That day the entire bevel was orange with rust. I asked him if he had cut anything corrosive. He told me it ws in his pocket at work, and he didn't use it. YUK!!!!!!!!! Do any of you have a similar story? People who mean well but.... :barf:
