After lurking here and there, I thought I would start this thread. What makes this forum so awesome to you, personally? For me, it's the following, but not limited to:

~Jerry and Family. First time I met him, I felt like I was an old friend.

~The Hogs and Piglets. They have always been a welcoming and friendly bunch

~Pork-chop busting. Whether it's scoring a knife I wanted or sharing what they scored, it's great. Like going fishing and comparing fish caught or missed opportunities.

~No Regrets. The fact that the hogs I've beaten to the trough or those that beat me have had ZERO REGRETS!!! Despite the outcome, the attitude is that of congratulations and commodery (sp?). There's no hard feelings and Porkerson usually get's the blame. No hard feelings or ill spoken words

~It's not just about the knives. This is a family and knives are what start the relationship, but definitely aren't the only thing that keeps it going.

How about you? What makes this forum rock for you personally?

The people and hogs who come here make it a great place to hang out. I dont post much, but I do read the posts here every day.

Well said Brian, 110% agree!!!

and all the other helpful forumites Ive come across. There are so many people on this site that I would love to buy a beer or 2 for.

All the Busses on the exchange do not hurt either.

Oh and +2 for Amy-0

The people.

What really rocks, is having the pleasure of meeting ( and suffering through some interesting bonding rituals with :foot:) many of the people who post here.

The knives just give us the opportunity to meet.

Yup, it be family here !

COMMUNITY

I haven't been following this forum as closely for the last half year or so but I do check in regularly and I'm sure there will come a time when I'm checking in daily once again. Waiting for the MUK!!!

the f-ing micarta! what hold's this thing together? bond's hold it. canvas is nothing but material, material decay's over time. resin is inert till it's bonded with something. a 'bond' is created when material's are mixed with a resin, or catalyst. the blood of my foefather's was a catalyst for my birth. my blood was a catalyst for my family's birth. be it busse, or the flesh of my loin's. i hold no differance. my lion's are close, as they should be. my "family" is not a very distant second.

i'm in frostburg,md. i work at duncan's bar wed-sat of the week. if you need a hug or a pabst stop by. really, stop almost any were in town and ask for me, you'll be pointed in the right direction. love is free as is disciplin. many are my peer, a few sink lower than par. they are taught then, welcomed back to the family. very few are banished, but for good reason. if you want to talk about anything come up. i even know a hotel a hop and skip away from my door(no joke). it crappy, but a d.u.i. is worst. i'm a farm boy but my heart is very open to all.

if you are scared of dyed hair, mohawk's, wrangler jean's, diesel's, tony lamah's, grease, rust, a firm hand shake, work, body fluid's, chain-drive wallet's,tattoo's, music(metal, country, punk, regaee, bluegrass, folk, rap) or someone differnt than the norm. stay home!

i have worked here for six year's and have meet very few foe's. the bar is open as are my arm's. don't be scared it's just a pinch, then all is well.

i'm drunk and sighning off, danm wing night. oopp's infi pic!

ya'll see that icehole in the pic, yes the ginger. that is my family also, we are not of the same blood. but i'm still helping him dig a fence line in mining country.:grumpy:tomorrow, yes to those who know lot's of back fill.:thumbdn: he is still my brother. fror the love of freya we chopped a sunroof in his jeep, and he laughed.

P.S.

on another furter note, (it's wing night, sorry all)the busse women i had the pleasure of being there company at blade. these poor valkyries of infi were by my side when i needed a guide(more food), they also helped me in my thirst for knowlege(pabst, or any can beer), or a place to pray to the god's(purging everything around the corner of the waverly), hell one was donned the task of syphering the ashes of a smoke from the masses( it the curve). while the matriarch(jen was home with the babies) bestowed me her bro, and her my sis. last but not least, the newb, (you know who you are). endured many a tribal tribune from all, and passed with flying color's. i'm prety sure i still haunte(glow stick's, cigar's, pig nose, whisker's) the wall's of thosee memories, forsaken they as are.

this is family, were not blood but it's the next best thing.

The people: their honesty, their knife enthusiasm, the pics of their knives and their experiences, and just the family atmosphere.
