We all have it.
That knife.
The knife that makes you a younger you, you love that thing. It will never leave you. You will never leave it. But what about it makes you love it?
The way it goes through paper, cardboard, and fruit so effortlessly it feels as though you are pushing through a cloud?

The way it opens so smoothly, you envision silk every time you open it?

The way you look at your beauty, and it gleams up at you? It beckons to you with how stunningly attractive it is..

So, what im trying to say is, what do you love most about your pride and joy?

I hate to say this...but a old frost cutlery knife. The knife itself is junk, the memories that go with it however are priceless...

I don't judge, 9.
Tell me more!

Well basically this was maybe my third or fourth knife (I was probably around four or five at the time)...so my dad took me down to the local army/navy surplus store and told me to pick out a knife, the rules where simple, it had to fold and the blade couldn't be any longer than my thumb...so I looked and after awhile (I had actually chosen a couple knives by this time but none of them met the requirements) I settled on a frost cutlery liner lock. So we drove home and I promptly went into my back yard and cut some saplings (at some point in that day I cut myself as well haha)...but I have very fond memories of that knife!! I'll see if I can find some pics:thumbup:

I would have to say my para 2. Ever since I got her she's been at my side. just something about her...

I have an annual Sebenza that matches my daughter's birth. That knife is priceless to me, I carry it on special occasions and hope that I can pass it to her or her husband some day.

Hard to say but I would probably have to go with the knife I got when my grandpa died, the rest of my family wouldn't let me touch his knives much less have one but my uncle Bill knew I loved knives and slipped one in my pocket before we had to leave for the cities again, my uncle bill died a few years after that so now it is really special to me.

Nice story!
I don't have a story yet, i've only been into knives for about a year. But the knife that makes me smile is my newly beloved... the Case Mini Trapper in amber bone. Blades are nice and sharp, half stop is wonderful in the sense of safety, and it has a good snap when opening and closing. It's quite good looking, too. Sits right in the pocket without bothering me, it does not take up a whole lot of pocket real estate, and it just disappears. Very sheeple friendly too

My Sebenza.
I love this knife. I've had it for quite a while and have toyed back and forth with the idea of letting it go. Simply because I'm someone who loves to try different things so I think of trading and trying new knives instead of what I have. I've always fallen back and decided against it. It's a beautiful and amazing knife. On top of being the perfect EDC, I can't really imagine not having it. No matter what knives I get, I still get joy out of carrying and using my Sebenza.

And my SNG.
I wasn't completely overly enthused about Strider knives at first. They're nice knives but I just didn't click with them, like I did with my Sebenza at first. So I was like "I want to try one, but I think I'll hold off" as I just wasn't wowed at first. After a while the want to try one became more than just a little itch. I was set on trading my Small Sebenza for a Strider of some sort. I was thinking an SJ-75 at first because it's small but tough and just looks great. Then an offer for a Strider SNG Lego Z-Wear came in and I thought that was a great trade so I jumped on it. As soon as I got it in my hand, I fell in love with it. The smoothness, overall quality, fit and finish, solidity, and feel was just amazing. I love it even more every day.

I've always enjoyed my Chris Reeve Sebenza knives and Spyderco folders because they are well built. Since I recently bought a Opinel No. 8 (ebony scales) I've been grinning from ear to ear because of the quality and great price. Since they are priced right that I ordered two more Opinel No. 8 knives (Bubinga handle and the other a regular carbone model) and should be receiving them shortly. Opinel has such a great history and I've always thought of getting one over the years but never got around to it. Better late than never :D

Watching a 9 year old stare in awe at the Benchmades at REI brought a smile to my face.

My CRKT Sting always sort of made me feel like a kid. It was completely useless, but it made me feel like a freaking bad*** when I was carrying it.
