What micron lapping film for mirror edge

Hey all,
I just purchased a KME basic sharpening system for Christmas.
It comes with the 4 diamond stones 140 grit up to 1500. I am going to purchase the 50 and 100 grit for reprifiling. But I am wondering what lapping films I should buy for a mirrored edge. I’m sure I don’t need them all 9, 6, 3, 1, 0.5, 0.1.
Was hoping someone here could help.

Thanks
Knarls

I was rarely able to get Lapping films to efficiently mirror and I had the whole set. Better luck with strops in general.

I don't use lapping films, but 1 micron diamond paste will mirror.

So did you jump to 1 micron from the 1500 grit diamond stone?
That’s where I am confused, where do I go right after the 1500 grit diamond.
I have heard people having success with the translucent Arkansas stone as well.
But do they go just right from the 1500 or what?

Strops with what micron paste on them would you recommend?

I went from 1200 grit SF eze-lap diamond to wore out 400 grit silicon carbide sandpaper to the 1 micron paste on both of these.
