I have the regular edge pro stones from 120 through 1000 already or to be delivered this week. I also have the tapes in 2000, 3000 and 6000. I have two strops loaded with 1 micron and 0.5 micron STROPPY stuff diamond emulsion. What micron size should I get between the 6000 tape and the 1 micron diamond strop. I am going to try for my first mirror polish. I have the 4 micron in my cart at Gritomatic. I dont know how to tag Gritomatic so if someone wants to tag them for me, that would be great.

I currently have the STROPPY stuff on kangaroo strops from Gritomatic Gritomatic . Also trying to find a way to hide this from the wife :)
 
The regular Edge Pro aluminum oxide stones, made by Boride, use the FEPA-F grit rating standard. 1000 grit in FEPA-F is 4.5 micron. I don't see any reason to add anything between that and your 1 micron emulsion. According to this chart your edge pro tapes are 2000 = 9 micron, 3000 = 3 micron, and 6000 = 1 micron. Seems you already have some overlap. No reason to add more. And then nothing more to hide from your wife. :)
