Those are three very different knives, with very different uses, at least in my opinion. Intended use would be a major factor in deciding which. My personal solution would be all three :D
Caly3 for light jobs/sheeple herd areas.
Para for medium duty/sheeple not looking
Mini-Manix for heavy tasks/gotta get-r-done, sheeple or not.

In my particular case, I carry a UKPK instead of the Caly3. And what I call normal use has been described by one manufacturer as "heavy duty cutting tasks"

Well not the Para. IMO the caly 3 is just smaller then the Mini Manix but not much different otherwise.

Caly III out cuts the other two and holds and edge better in my experience, as well as being very friendly looking and the most comfortable to carry.

I agree with yablanowitz: I carry the caly 3 for light, sheeple friendly tasks, para for work and mini-manix for everything else... but I gotta admit, the calys been setting up shop in my pocket since I got it.

I also absolutely agree with yablanowitz. They are all different.
For my needs Caly3 is perfect and it is in my pocket since I got it.

Of the three, Caly III.

But the best mid-size EDC is the 75mm Persian.

I recently decided to go to just one one-hander. Out of D4, E4, Mini Manix, UKPK and Para Mil I decided to go with the Para Mil. Thick blade, but thin flat ground. 2 oz lighter than the Manix and it doesnt' pull my sweats down like the Manix. No vertical play compression lock (my lockback spydies have a little and it bugs me). Sturdier than the D4. A little uncomfortable inside the waistband but I think that a little work on the handle will fix that.

How much you got to spend for price go for the delica4 for stile go for the caly 3 for the hoaa!! I'm the man get the mini manix:cool:

Mini Manix is my favorite of the three. The Para is lighter but still comparable with the Mini Manix in terms of strength and grip security. The Para does have that tip-down only 'option' and the exposed tang when closed. The Caly III is unfamiliar to me. THe UKPK, which is similar I think, is the lightest of the three, but it's also the one I'd hesitate to use for rougher tasks and jobs that are not meant for folders. I wouldn't hesitate much over that with the other two.

The Caly 3 and the smaller Persian are both great sized EDCs. You really can't go wrong with either IMO.
