What midrange folders can you replace the scales on?

I would like to get a nicer benchmade, spiderco, or even Kershaw etc folder with a clip and replace the scales or handle slabs with the ones that match the grips on my 1911. I am using vz grips (g10) and I think I can get the same style of material from them to fashion into scales for a folder. I don't want to use one of those 1911 knives with the same handle as a 1911 grip. Too bulky and I don't like the blade material or shape.

I am thinking of something along the lines of the popular EDCs like a griptilian, PM2, etc.

You can find new scales for a griptilian faily easily. They are also not too expensive, and make for a very nice knife when you get the LE edition with m4 IMO.

head on over to the knife exchange section, then knife makers, then into the custom shop of the forums lots of custom scale makers in there that do amazing work
