I liked the looks of this one and bought it, but have not received it yet. The blade is 6.5". Does anyone know the name of it and when it was made? Was it limited or is it still produced.
SAR 6 as the gentleman above stated but those are black and tan G10 handles it looks like although they could be black and green G10, hard to tell. Sweet knife! I *think* they were released back in 2011 or thereabouts but would need to confirm so take that with a grain of salt. Long since discontinued. Congrats!
Looks like micarta to me, but pics can be deceiving… You’ll know when you see it in person. Definitely a SAR 6 though, and surely a great blade. Congrats!
Well, I got it in today and here are the pictures of the knife and the two possible sheaths that I have that will fit it nicely. I would say that the handle material is a black and gray G-10; it is very nice looking and has a very positive grip to it. This knife is in perfect condition and has an extremely sharp convex edge grind. Maybe not quite Rockstead sharp but pretty close. I am pretty happy I got hold of this one.
These are the two sheath I had that fit this knife very well. The one to the spine of the knife is a Peloza Sheath ( my favorite sheath maker) and the one to the edge side of the knife is made by Byrd in Orlando, who I do not think is working any longer but made excellent quality leather sheaths.
