What model is this? - pic

I can't remember. I think a model was make of an old khukuri and sent over to BirGorkha for replication but not sure. Somebody with a better memory is sure to drop by.

My understanding (and my memory is like swiss cheese) that Berkley had an original antique dui chirra (two fullers). Foxjaw made a wooden model of it and sent it to Bill. Thus the Berk Special was born. I was lucky enough to get this one as a blem. The butt of the handle was chipped. We glued the chip back on and refinished the handle and the result was the post you referenced. The only other work was to polish the horn handles of the implements.

It's an amazing blade! One that I would want to have if I ever was involved in hand to hand combat.

Edited to give Foxjaw credit for making the model.

It was a resin model, but otherwise you have nailed it. I was lucky enough to get one of the original pair made and it is a great knife.

Wow I didn't know (or had forgotten) there was a picture of my Berk on the website. That's cool. The website is much expanded and really looks great!
