I just bought this off of a forumite. I have no clue (and neither did the seller) as to which model it is. it doesn't look like a custom but i could be wrong as my SAK knowledge is on the low side. i think it could be a Mechanic Junior but again....what do I know... :) thanks for the help.

I'm positive I've seen that model before but I can't ID it. :(

Looks like a Scientist with pliers in place of scissors and Phillips instead of corkscrew. Wouldn't have much utility for me but it looks cool.

We've been calling it Special Mechanic (SOSAK) or Mechanic Junior (Smartknives) neither of which is the official name AFAIK. There is speculation that it was sold as a special model through Radio Shack at one time.

Thanks for the info. I'm glad I grabbed it.....20 bucks...can't go wrong there.

I have one just like it and I got mine at Radio Shack. The other side of mine says something like techline.

Just noticed the crossbow tang stamp - that means it must be at least, what, five or six years old at minimum?

Nice find. Those are very scarce and that's a good price. I have two - one with plain red cellidor scales and one with black cellidor scales with "TechLine" on the side without the Vic cross-and-shield.

It's also nice that it has the Plus scales!

Enjoy it! If it had a magnifier I'd probably carry mine more often.

I'm going to post in the WTB forum as well...but if anyone wants to unload one of these....let me know.
