What model is this SR?

Bought this at Blade Show years ago and Dave Brown made the sheath. What is the model and any idea of value? If asking value is not allowed I apologize and will delete that part if someone tells me.

I think you're good on the value question since you're a gold member (paid membership).

Unfortunately, I'm only guessing on the value, but I'd think $300 to maybe $400 on the very high end if someone was really after a prototype like that.

Best guess after seeing many Ratmandu sales is that you're probably closer to the $270-$350 range, but I'm far from an expert there, just going off of observations of Bussekin sales for the past several years. As always, it's only worth whatever someone will pay for it!

It looks to be a full flat grind Swamp Rat Ratmandu prototype with possible black paper micarta handles. I'm guessing it's SR-101 steel as the regular Ratmandus were.

I'm sorry but I do not know much about that particular prototype and when and where it was offered. Hopefully some of the more knowledgeable members can chime in with more information on that.

It is a Ratmandu prototype. Longer & slightly narrower blade than standard production versions, & a rare version. Only like 48 or so? (I've forgotten how many different coated 1 of 12 runs of these were done for Blade)

Same RMD Proto (1 of 12 in Jungle green) above a standard RMD version for a comparison.

Great info!! Any thoughts on value? If I remember correctly they threw cards to the crowd to get the chance to buy. Then I think Blade Show stopped that bc other vendors whined.

I have no idea on its value. Guessing 300, mebbe a bit higher, but it is a guess.
Regular prod sr101 coated RMD's table is 238.95, if I recall correctly.
