Hi I recently bought a knife at auction, no information was given about this knife.

The only thing I know about it is that it comes from Mora Sweden.
The handle is made of wood, horn and brass.
The knife blade is 9.5 cm and has the name: "Jonsson" engraved.
The sheath is made of leather and horn, and the horn looks like it is engraved with the initials "JJ"
Are there any of you who know anything about Mora knives that can help me with the story behind this knife?

thank you!

That is Broderna Jonsson of Mora. Worked mainly in the 40's and 50's. Good steel; likely laminated. A pic would help; can't get yours to load. I have several Broderna (brothers) Jonss0n knives -good knives.

Thank you Rich :)
Did the link work now?

Yes, links work. It is a Broderna Jonsson blade, but the handle and sheath are home made. It was/is common for folks to buy a blade from various makers in Sweden, Finland and Norway and make their own handles and/or sheaths. This person did a beautiful job and obviously had some degree of skill. Nice knife. Nice find.
