Hi Guys
I'm just curious what Movie Knives do you own? And Why did you purchase them?:D

well, i have a Buck 119 and a 120. im not sure which one was used in the movie Scream, does that count?

and why...because they are great knives

I used to have the daggar blade with the round-hole guard on the top, that was used in the movie Terminator 2. I bought it because it was a neat looking knife, and was at a very cheap price.

I ended up selling it, at a profit, as it really had no practical purpose, and I like to carry my knives.

If a knife is made just for a movie, and is more of a prop, than usable tool, I won't really consider, unless it's a "Lord of the Rings" sword that will just be mounted on a wall.

Now, if I see a cool production piece, or usable custom/mid-tech knife that I like, I would consider it, especially if it's in a movie, or TV show that I really like.

Maybe if I had disposable income, I'd be more inclined to buy props.

There we go I knew we all buy those:D don't be ashamed to post picture of the knife you posses or use to have before

What nobody has any movie knife ? Cmon guys I'm sure u have something:)

Like a knife I bought because I saw it in a movie? Nope.

Nothing wrong with that...just not my "thing." Though I probably have some knives that have been used in movies. Vic SAKs? I'm sure I've seen those in some movie or other.

Dont have any knives either because I saw 'em in a movie.

Im sure knives similar to some of mine have been used in movies.....

The TV show Son's of Anarchy always has a few good knives in it. They usually show a Ka-Bar USMC and a Buck 119 of which I have both.

I know its not a movie but it is the best I could do.

I watched MacGuyver whenever I could when I was growing up. So naturally I always have a Swiss Army Knife in my pocket.

I used to have a couple Severtechs (Spartan, starring Val Kilmer), but not anymore.

Closest I have are a few SAK's and I watched some MacGuyver growing up, though I doubt I have the same model he has used. As an adult though using a SAK just feels like your cheating if you have that and duct tape for improvising and fixing things.

I saw a Cold Steel Rajah 1 in some Dolph Lundgren movie that I thought was pretty cool. Ended up buying a Rajah 2(1 is discontinued) after looking into it.

Other than that, I don't have any knives that were bought because of movies, but I have some knives that have appeared in movies if those count...Ka-Bar USMC, Buck 119...

Not a movie, but I have Daryl Dixon's knife from The Walking Dead. A Busse Combat Team Gemini.

I dunno. What was the knife with Hannibal Lecter used to eviscerate the Florentine police detective in the movie Hannibal? If it was a Tasman Salt, yes. If it was a Harpy, then no, I don't have one. Except for the Ka-Bar, Buck 119 and the SOG Tigershark which were previously described as having had some movie exposure here and there.

My story is similar to some of the others already posted in this thread.

I grew up a huge fan of the MacGyver TV Series so, naturally, I HAD to have a SAK. At first my parents didn't allow it, but then my grandparents gave me one as a birthday present.

That's how I got hooked on knives.

The only other TV/Movie related knife I own is a Zero Tolerance 0350TS. Although this particular knife is not in any movie or TV series that I know of, I saw agent Gibbs of the NCIS TV series use a knife that I liked. Since I didn't recognize brand or model of that knife, I started searching the internet and that is how I found bladeforums.com.

Here I found out that agent Gibbs used to have a Zero Tolerance 0302 (I think it was destroyed in a bomb blast). That's how I got to know the ZT product line and since the 0302 is too big and too heavy for my needs, I decided to buy a 0350TS instead. The 0350 has been my EDC ever since.

I have Busse TGLB from The Walking Dead
Why? Do I really have to tell you
