Today I got to work and one of the break rooms in my office building had a leaking ice machine. The supply hose pulled out if the back of the ice maker, and as a result water poured out everywhere all night long. The water was in the hallway, all over the break room and dripped down into our parking garage. The only thing I had to clean up with at the building was a floor squeegie. So while I was waiting on my co-worker to bring the wet-vac I started to squeegie the floors. I had one problems though, the squeegie was curved on each end, and the middle of squeegie wouldn't make contact with the floor....Enter my Benchmade Rift. I trimmed down the curved ends so they wouldn't prevent the squeegie from touching the floor. A very small victory I know, but the job got done and without a knife it wouldn't have been possible.
Water in the hallway and in the garage:

Poor design prevented the entire squeegie from touching the floor

Removed a little rubber from each end

The rubber is .250" thick.
