what national bank do you guys like to use? (credit card+checking)

im looking to open a new checking acount, and get a credit card though a bank, and im looking for one that i can keep even if i move to a new state, so its gotta be nationally recognized like bank of america, western union etc.

the 3 things im interested in are a decent apr on the credit card - doesnt have to great, but i dont want to be paying off a dept of 200$ for a year straight.

online banking, so that i can fully operate a paypal acount and credit card bills without having to go to the bank itself

and a banking system that isnt horrible. ive had freinds here get constant runnarounds with local banks, specifically with teller protocol and required information. a freind of mine tried to get his wife on his checking acount, and he had to come back to the bank 4 times with different and new information, each time asking if that was everything they needed, and each time being assured vehemently that there was nothing else, and it would be in place within the hour. it took him 3 weeks to get it done, and it was a massive hassle since they both work full time and go to school full time. i want a bank that will be consistent in how they operate (like a corperate mcdonalds :D)



what banks do you guys like to use?
 
Hehe- I've gone through half-a-dozen banks in the last 15 years or so, all by way of having the one I was presently using either merge with or get purchased by another.
Banks are highly competitve, shop around!
 
Bank of America. They are awesome to deal with. Opened my account in about 20 minutes back in 03. Have a savings account and credit card there also. I NEVER goto the bank itself, maybe once in a blue moon if I need something. Last time I went was to apply for my credit card. Their online banking is pretty awesome and straight forward.
 
Second Bank of America. Also have my picture on credit and check card as one of their security features.
 
I'm very interested in the opinions in this thread.
I've had a Citibank account for some time and like them very much. I thought they were a national bank, until I moved to Houston and couldn't find a Citibank here. :eek:

Any more votes for Bank America?
