I am in the market for a neck knife...

I generally carry a LCC MA, but i'd like a little neck knife just for little things...

Don't wanna get a 2nd mortgage(on my non-existant house) to pay for it either...

Only need about a 2 to 3 inch blade(3 may be a bit too long)...

Anyway, I was wondering what you guys recommend??

Thanks in advance..

Check with Newt Livesay at Wicked Knife Co. Several models to choose from and at prices you might consider getting more than one.

I would recommend Handiman by RJ Martin but since you do not want to spend fortune I´d say wait for the Arc Lite

I've got three I'm carrying in rotation now- Neil Blackwood's miniHawksbill, Jens Anso's naked DamaClaw, and Jones Knives' neck tanto. All three I highly recommend.

Newt Livesay has many neck knives in the $20-$40 range, and they are all top quality user knives. I think 1SKS still has some 1095 REKAT Hobbitt Fangs for $40 (2.85 in blade). Then there is the Arc Lite, for only $20 .

Newt's stuff is worth a look- Very affordable. I have several neck knives & I often reach for one of Newt's.

The Handiman is a super little knife as well- I'll have my eye on one on the 10th at the NYC show.
Then there's...

You really check out Newt as others have suggested. I have a Woo Exec. and a G-45. I love them both. The Woo Exec is my constant carry. If there is room for no other, the Woo is always there. SOLID!!

All mentioned are excellent. I would add to it the Darrel Ralph Arc Light, the Lightfoot Neck Razor, and the RJ Martin Handyman. Great little knives!

Try Allen Blade. I have two of them and one on order.

Very well made at a good price in a top quality sheath.

Try Micheal Cooper (L6steel). I just saw his new warncliffe neck knife ATS-34. Awesome knife at $50.00

Follow the "toys" link below for several good choices. I rotate them a bit but the Perrin La Griffe Fang probably gets as much carry as the rest put together. Have fun deciding.

I recommend the TL Hearn Tac series. There are 3 different models available. I carry the TAC 3 on almost a daily basis. It's a great knife. Most of the time I forget I am even wearing it. The only pics I know of are on www.Bladeart.com. Follow the links for Custom knives and click on Terry's name.
At about $99.00 you can't beat them.. I hope that Terry doesn't come to his senses and raise his prices. he could with this workmanship.

Newt's knives are excellent and at a great price point. The exec Woo is my daily carry, well one of them anyway.

looks pretty good.if you want something a little more customized or want to spend a little more money then i recommend raker knives http://www.tah-usa.net/raker/index.html or maxtheknife (fellow forumite) ,you can see some of his work at http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=1189412&a=8767365 .

I have found the Benchmade AFCK and a Mike Sastre neck sheath to make a very good combination. You probably have a pocket knife that you like now so, why not spend ~$20 for a neck sheath and have it with you all the time?

For what it's worth, I like the 4 inch AFCK on a neck sheath better then a small fixed blade.

Stay Sharp,
Sid
