Hey guys.
So I have got some extra money and need a new knife. I'm just not sure what I should get. I'm stuck between the Bk-4, Bk-10, and the kabar USMC all black krayton models. I will also probably get a kydex sheath for whatever I decide on. And I currently have a Bk-9, Bk-16, a Bk-11 and 14, as well as an ESEE 4.
Thanks for any input.

Not knowing exacty what your intended use is it's hard to say which would be the best for you. If I had the choice I'd go for a 10. It's a shorter and lighter 9. I love my 10 almost at much as my 5. Have you checked out the 5? Great knife. BK4 is great but I usually grab my 9. Better chopper and I always have my 14 for the smaller tasks. Between the 3 you mentioned I'd grab a 10.

I like the BK-4 but since you have a BK-9 you might want to wait on that one and get something different since they do similar tasks.
Now the BK-10 would be perfect since you don't have anything like it. Or even look at the BK-12 (RSK MK2) for an option. Can't ever go wrong with one of those!
I have the USMC all black and basically haven't used it since I started collecting Beckers, so I wouldn't recommend that one. lol

In conclusion, I vote for the BK-10.

Oh sorry for lack of detail. I would be using it for bushcrafting, hunting (skinning, gutting), and just a general work knife.
Starting to lean more towards the 10.

Nothing wrong with the 10.
Check out the 5 though...I'm with Eero on this one.

I thought about the 5, but I think if I was going to get a knife like that I would choose the 15.eventually it will be mine lol

Thanks for the input everyone.

I guess I would choose the BK-10 or a BK-15. There is some/much ovelap in my perceived use of the various models. You don't have a BK-7, so that might be a consideration.

Oh man, the 10 and 4 were my firsts. Since you already have a 9. I'd suggest the 10. The BK4 is going to be redundant with a 9 already in the stable. The 10 is a great knife all around . Don't kid yourself though, you'll end up with both before it's over.

For what you want, the 10 is G2G right out of the box. The USMC can be a decent woods/bushcraft/camp knife if you trim off the top of the guard (the spine side) so that you can choke up on the knife.

here is a picture of a 10. That's a nice USMC above but I think this thread need a Becker in it. ;) Here is what you could have:

Yeah, probably should have thrown up a pic of my 10 too but it's all original and boring.

Just get one of everything.

Thanks for all the responses.

Alexwitte: I would mostly use it for carving and battoning, hard and soft wood.

Euro: I would definatley upgrade to micarta or TKC G10. And eventually cave and strip it.

Also Murphnuge: Yeah I have got the Becker bug pretty bad. Need to have ALL OF THEM.
