Well, my Military arrived. As soon as I took it out of the box and flicked it open I knew I have a new favorite knife.
It opens very smooth, no adjustment needed to pivot screw, it is good and tight, easy one hand open and close, very sharp out of the box, a very good work knife. And somehow the hole is not quite as ugly.

I can tell this is going to cost me a lot of money.

Now I have to figure out what my next Spyderco will be. I want utility, easy open and close and about a 3-3 1/2 inch plain edge blade. I would also prefer on made here in the USA. Spyderco has so many models that I have no idea which one to start looking at.

PLEASE HELP, after all this is all your fault.

Thanks

Complementing your Military with a Wegner will give you two very different, very useful knives of exceptional quality to choose from.

If you want one made in the USA, get a Native. They are pretty cheap unless you get the Bladeforums model and they are the size you want. I think a regular zytel Native either plain or serrated is just about perfect.

Of course you can't pass up the good old Police model. They now have a variety of styles to choose from. Personally I would go with the good old stainless there.
Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Brian is right!
Follow this up with a large Wegner and you will NOT be sorry!
People may get tired of hearing me say this, but, the Wegner is something very special in the world of folding knives. Some find the looks a bit awkward but don't judge this book by it's cover. Pick it up, hold it, and you'll want it.
