Where are the Becker pumpkin carving contests? Guess the gathering got in the way but that's a good excuse. Anyways Ill be carving the kids pumpkin tonight with my bk11, if you carved a pumpkin with a Becker, here's a great place to post a pic of it. I love Halloween....

pumpkins cost money :)

I know you're joking, but thats the reason that my wife and I haven't bought a pumpkin yet (only married two years). And to be honest, I haven't had a pumpkin since I left home for college.

Looking forward to the photos though :).

Where are the Becker pumpkin carving contests?
We are currently having a pumpking carving contest open to all brands of the KA-BAR family on our various Facebook sites. We are trying to build up our presence on the 'book. First place (as voted on by other users) takes home their choice of any one KA-BAR ZK Knife and a ZK t-shirt (it is Halloween, after all). The rules are pretty simple: carve a pumpking using any KA-BAR knife (Beckers welcomed and encouraged), then submit a photo of your pumpkin and the knife you used to carve it to the KA-BAR Facebook page. Then you play the waiting game...

You are absolutely right. But those were the dark days of bk5 ignorance and most thought (including myself) that they eventually wanted a bk5 for the heck of it, but didn't see the need. I am guilty as well of doing the math on a fruit body armor project and said that it was too expensive a contest for knife I didn't NEED. But since I owned a bk5 I owe you and the magnum camp a very big apology. I don't think I've missed a knife more than I miss the bk5. Thank god the passaround comes today so I can play with one again :D

Haha!! This is cool. I am soon going to be chopping a pumpkin up with my BK2 (Will post pics. don't worry) I will slice it in 3 pieces and get the good stuff out. I have no reason to carve it. (No kids)

OK, BK7 to open her up, then an Izula and small saw blade to finish

sorry for the crappy phone pics.

I used a BK11 last year. The knife is too thick for good carving, I found. I'll try again with a Remora this year.

I personally love Halloween, free candy... memories :D
I wish I could still go trick 'r' treatin' without being looked at as a freak...
