Heya. I'm about to take delivery of a Japanese style fixed blade made of a2. The handles have stingray skin leather covered by nylon that has been soaked in epoxy, with a bronze menuki (Japanese ornament) underneath the wrapping. My question is, besides water, what should I stay away from so I don't accidentally dissolve the epoxy or ruin the rayskin leather? I usually use Tuff-cloth/Tuff-glide on my knives. Tuff products are mineral spirits based. I do have Rem-oil, but don't use it until my Tuff products need replacing.
