I believe this is a clone of some sort and would like to know what the original knife is. I like the design and size.

I think it's a computer generated knife. You press a randomize button and it puts it all together.
Then sarge selects what they like and orders Chinese to make a run of these. It's all done through a webpage.
Nobody cares there's a thumbstud in the cutting pass.

To me, it has a similarities to a dozen different knives. It is getting to the point that so many knives look nearly the same to me I skip right by a knife like that.

A nod to Cold Steel, elements of Kershaw, ingredients from several Chinese made mashups and others probably see more specific traits.

If SARGE put a big pile of parts into a box then screwed together all the pieces that would fit, I believe it. Who knows... this may not be a clone or homage, just a other "meh" knife.

Hmmm...if a consumer could design an individual knife from a company's website that could fun. Buck had something like it on their website to customize a 110 model choosing frame and scales for colour and materials, then one could see the result and price to order. Imagine if one could design a complete model e.g.,bladeshape,length folder or fixed, lock type etc.do any companies offer that ?

There are a lot of decent knives with the thumb stud in the cutting pass. What is your point?
Yeah, but that one is waayyyy out there. I believe the point is the poor design.

To the OP, even if there is an original design just like this, the thumbstud being that far into the cutting path would be super annoying to deal with in EDC for me.

I think there is a Lego kit.

I agree with midnight flyer, it doesn’t necessarily favor any particular design. I know that Sarge has several knives available that favor Spyderco’s. As far as the Sarge brand is concerned, the only way I would own one is if someone gave it to me.

well, after searching for the original the Sarge Shadow might have been cloned from, which I never found, and after digesting all your comments, I did come across this Civivi Vexer which is on the way to me now. thanks for all the comments and input
