  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What "oversized" knife did you carve the roast beast with?

Sounds like a good choice! Nothing crazy here. Just a Victorinox chef's knife. :)

CWL beat me to this one. He said he was going to use it on a Turducken for Thanksgiving. Hopefully he will give us a review.

Had he not bought it I would have used it.
Since he did I was stuck with my Forschner Butcher knife.

i carved the turkey at my sisters with a 10" cutco - that thing atcually worked pretty well

I've got a Murray Carter yanagi ba with about a foot of blade that is great for carving turkey. Keeps the guests from snatching pieces before dinner too!

I didn't have a knife...so I took my turkey over to Prac Tac when the guys were kind enough to KARATE CHOP it into many delicious bite sized pieces.

I used a 12" 30 yr old Electric Hamilton Beach I got as a wedding present in 1976. The wife is Long gone but that knife is still doin its job

I picked this one up at the Takashima store in Ginza, my last trip to Japan. Blade is 23 CM long. Hand made, with a beautiful temper line.
