What paint stripper works best for Becker coatings?

Decided I want to take the coating of my brand new BK2  (go figure). What works best for this?
Thanks.

Zip strip has worked the best for me, I highly recomend it. I recently tried to strip my 5 with the spray on citristrip, and it took forever and it did not even strip all of it. It's definitely not recomended.

I used acetone and some steel wool n a scraper. Worked fine, and I got a buz ;)

I've used and will recommend Klean Strip KS-3, still takes longer than the can says, but not hours and hours or days

I think i have a can of that somewhere in the garage. Ill try to find it tomorrow see if it works.

The absolute strongest that I have used was Klean-Strip Sprayable Stripper. That stuff is amazing. Took less than 10 minutes to get it all off. It is a gel-type. I imagine that their paste will work in a similar way.

I use Kleen Strip but its a gel you just rub it on and it only takes like 15 mins wipe it off. I have some pics I can post tomorrow.

Klean Strip makes pretty short work of the current coating they're using on the Beckers. Oddly, it wouldn't touch the paint on a Kabar heavy bowie. Left it on for three hours and nothing. Go figure. I'd like to hear if anybody has stripped one of those.

What!?!? No one does that around here! Except bladite. :P

not me :)

i just tell people to use search, for the 500 answers to this question ;) snerk :>

(i just let M00se pee on it, that stuff peels anything...)

CitriStrip(spray can) worked great on my BK2. I soaked it for about an hour and the coating came off no problem. On the other hand it did not work as well on my BK11. It required some elbow grease.

The time it takes seems to be something of a crap shoot. I'm guessing temperature, humidity, blah, blah, etc... all play into it. Plus a little luck of the draw with BK2 lot# 384754834 vs # 54784894387. At least that's what I assume from hearing people using the same products and having different experiences. Bottom line is that most any of these will work pretty well.

Me, I'm a little lazy I guess. I like to leave the Klean Strip on for 45min give or take - makes it come off easily enough with a plastic scraper.
