Hey guys

Sorry if my English is bad, its not my native language.
Its also my first post on bladeforums.

But to the question at hand.
I've made several knives and I wanted to make a balisong.
I have some equipment which will make it easier, specifically a mill.
I tried to find some screws and bits for the bali but can't find good quality ones in the eu.
So I wanted to buy the parts from USAknifemaker, but here's the catch.
I'm not from the usa so I don't know what parts I need for the bali or what extra taps or drill bits I need besides the parts.
It would be nice if some of you could explain tap types or tell me what I need.
Thanks in advance.

Greetings,
Jeroen Beskers

A good company for pivots and screws is knifekits.com
They sell all sorts of parts and even have balisong specific parts.

The best way to figure out what you need to do is buy a medium grade balisong and disassemble it. Then you have a template for all the parts you need.

Thanks for the tip.
I think I know what parts a bali is made off(i've watched to many disassembly videos). I mean it in which screw sizes and taps I need. Also to those who question. Im making a trainer because a live bali is illegal in the Netherlands.
Thanks for the site, il be looking at it further.

Any supplies you get in USA will probably be inch standard.

If you're in the Netherlands , I'd find local suppliers and learn and use the metric system.

I tried, but the parts I see aren't ment for bali's or ar crap quality pivots(aluminium)
Thanks for replying everyone, I appreciate the help

Here's a link to a schematic of the "dogbite bali" that USA knifemaker used to sell. I don't believe they sell the packaged "kit" anymore, though you might shoot them an email and see if they still have any or can put one together.
At any rate, on the right side of the page is a link/description of each individual component as well, minus things like the blade and the latch, which you'll likely make yourself anyway.
You can either order the parts from there, or at least figure out what you need to order from else where.

BTW, things like tang pins can be made from just about material. Just get some round stock and either drill and ream the blade for a press fit, or lightly peen it into place.
