What pattern number is this one?

I hadn’t seen this pattern before and it has the anvil symbol. 8-1/4” overall length

Looks like a Buck 403 Big Sky. I don't know about "Steel City" though. It could have been a special run, or some group could have had the etch added after purchase. There is a Steel City Bowhunters group.

Your knife can be dated to 2002. It was a really well proportioned knife with a great sheath. In the catalog from 1999 to 2003, surprised how short lived it was in the product line. To see some pictures of variations search 403 and find a Feb 2021 thread.

I really like this one and just purchased second hand today. I had never seen one before this and was surprised it's not even marked with a pattern number as bucks normally are.

2002 was the Buck 100th anniversary and the Anvil symbol replaced the pattern number for that year only.
Anvil symbol with the word CUSTOM was used on LE's starting in 2002 onward.
In very recent times it is less clear to me how Buck uses the Anvil symbol.
