What period was my Military from?

My Military has a bead-blasted locking liner. The blade has the words Spyderco Military CPM 440V Golden, Colorado USA engraved onto it, and the pocket clip is silver, not black. I know it isn't a really old one, because at the base of blade near the edge there isn't that index finger guard-like thing like on the originals.

My main reason for asking is I'd like to know if the 440V on mine is the older, harder version or the newer heat treat (55-56/7) (??).

My guess would be that it has the newer heat treat with a slightly softer blade. It doesn't have the notched choil? Does it have the triangle-headed clip with three screws? If so, it's pretty new.

The heat treat changed before the clip color changed from silver to black. I've never figured out what's up with the finish on the liner though. I think it changed to polished but then reverted back at some point.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, the clip on mine has the triangular part w/three screws and a hole in the center for the pivot screw.

I am glad that it's one of the upgraded 440V with softer heat treat, as that means it will be somewhat less brittle.

What year did the metal get "softer". I know my military is brittle and quite a monster to reprofile. Its got 6 screws(on the handles) instead of 3 as well. Man my memory is terrible, cannot recall when I bought it. 3 years or so maybe. Geezus my memory sucks.
