What pocket knife do you carry?

I've been looking to upgrade to a new folder, and this got me wondering what all the JK crowd carries. So, what pocket knives do you all carry regularly?

A little history of my pocket carry knife choices if you want to read it-
I started with a SAK (Backpacker model I think, loved watching MacGyver growing up), then moved onto a stockman pattern- either an Old Timer or Uncle Henry model while helping farm and showing cattle. After college and being hired at the fire dept, I started carrying a folder with a pocket clip and thumb stud for easy one hand opening. First I can remember was a cheap CRKT model, Mirage, I think. I lost one and bought another just like it. Then sometime I got a 5.11 model, 154CM combo edge- really nice actually, I don't know who made it for them but it's been discontinued for years now. I caught the pocket clip on something and now it's not tight enough on the pocket to carry. I pocket carried a fixed blade for awhile, either a JK/kyenglish model or an Izula. I liked having a fixed blade but didn't care for having to put it back in the sheath and into the pocket. Back to carrying a traditional for a while, it was a Sodbuster in a leather sleeve so as to not scratch anything else in pocket or the knife. Oh yeah somewhere in there I carried a Boker Trance I traded into from Mr Sogetsu. Currently carrying a Kershaw/Emerson collaboration that I like, but got the urge to upgrade and try something new, thus wandering what everybody else carries.

Since everybody likes photos, current off duty carry. (Actually, just changed the flashlight out to a Nitecore model)

Since the Buck 110 does not qualify for pocket carry, it would be one of these. Swiss Army, Case Trapper, or if I'm going for clip carry either a Spyderco Endura or a ZT.

i too carried just a SAK for many, many years. then, i joined the forum and started experimenting with different folders, including some pricey ones ... my favorite was probably the spyderco southard. but, then i actually went the other direction. i started getting cheaper and cheaper. i went to the spyderco endura 4 (one of my favs), but then went to the CRKT ripple, which i loved...so light (got that one from Andy at the gathering the year i went. thanks!).

during this process, i kept coming back to a traditional knife. i gravitate toward the larger single-blade patterns. i have since gotten pretty good at opening them one-handed (pinch blade and use weight of handle to deploy), as necessary. i now much prefer carrying a GEC 42 (e.g.) over any of the other folders listed above.

and that brings me to now. i gummed up my GEC 42 and now carry a GEC 72. I also prefer lockbacks. and, i like the jigged bone handle material. you may have seen this over in the camping thread....

good thread. i am also looking forward to seeing what everyone else carries.

Get you a Delica John ~~ that is my EDC Everyday Knife and 98% of the time that is all carry plus I do have a old Gerber Belt Buckle Knife that I have carried for about 30 years.! I would miss either of them if they were not on my Belt.!**

Most of the time this one.

I like to carry various traditional slip joints as well.

When I first got into knives a few years ago, I carried a Spyderco G-10 ukpk for about 2 years. After that I switched to a Schrade 8OT for awhile. Then it was various one handed openers (BM griptilian, ZT 0560, PM2). I have settled on the Victorinox Tinker for many months now.

I like a one handed opener and so favor Spydercos - the Endura or Delica can't be beat for price, reliability and variety. For an EDC I prefer the bigger Endura that carries as lightly as many smaller knives but serves exceptionally well as a mid-size working knife. Either way with these two is a good way.

At least for now. I'm selling a lot of my more expensive folders. I'm basically selling my Sebenza and Striders. They are awesome knives but when it comes down to it, so is an endura or a pm2. Lots of changes in my life right now so I'm likely to go back to simple budget knives as far as pocket knives go. I still like my big meaty slicing machine fixed blades.

I carry a Benchmade 940 and a Case 6208 half-whittler everyday. I like the convenience of the one-hand opener/closer, but I enjoy the nostalgia and connection to the past of carrying a slip joint.

down to a pretty consisant roation atm, carry this texas jack at work/dree up

this gec for a change of pace

with this on my keys

A lot of times I will pocket carry a small fixed blade but if I'm carrying a folder, this is my favorite right now.

I carry a Vic Waiter in my left front pocket, and any of a number of one-handed opening "clip-knives" in my right front pocket.

Most recently I have been carrying my ZT0770CFM4 - a KnivesShipFree exclusive - awesome knife. I have a large collection of Zero Tolerance knives, and also a few select Benchmade and Spyderco beauties.

And of course I have the first production JK Ti Framelock - and it sees it's time in pocket as well - and has held up well.

It won't happen. I was never happy with them, in my opinion they were very crude, I just don't have the proper equipment to make them properly.

For many years I've carried a Pheasant Tail Sebenza or a Vic Farmer. I've recently found an interest in ZT and a couple of them are working their way into my pocket on a more regular basis. I still love traditional slip joints and carry one occasionally.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

What you call crap, some might call pure gold! :D

Check out this old JK I found... :p
