I have tried quite a few polishes, but want to see what other people like.
I want as high a shine as I can get, plus of course a little added protection.
Anyone tried anything they think is truly outstanding??

I use Flitz and have good luck with it. I have also used Simichrome which works equally well, however, I usually use the Flitz because it is more available where I live. Good luck.

Clean and polish then apply a coat of old fashioned paste wax to protect. Buff with a soft cotton cloth.

Ive used Metal-Glo and have had pretty good results.

I have used metal-glo for 20 years and have never found anything that did a better job. It will take scratches out of the metal. Flitz is good also. It is a lot faster, you use less of it, and it is better on some synthetic materials.

Flitz works better on the new knives and metal-glo works good on the old ones.

I went looking for simichrome and came home with a huge tub of mothers mag and aluminum polish from the auto body place. Like 6$ for a tub that will never run out. Works as good or better than simichrome did for me, so I am sticking to it!

I use Maas too. It can buff out little scratches like Flitz. I prefer the concentrated type of polishes that have mild abrasive qualities to the drippy kind that squirt out of a bottle.
