What qualifies as a military overrun?

If this question has been answered before I apologize for starting a redundant thread. I did a quick search but couldn't find it.

It was my understanding that, from time to time, various special-operations units order a batch of custom-designed knives from Busse Combat and that a few pieces are always left over and then sold to general public. It seems that the BOSS HG55 has been commonly referred to as a military overrun yet a regular offering on the Busse website. Am I missing something?

Any insight would be appreciated.

The Mil-Overrun was only offered in the Ganza,,,,,the blade is a little different than the regular CG's or the LE's. The Over-run's grooves on the blade don't run all the way up to the tip, which gives it a very thick,,, bomb proof tip. Here is a pic showing all three,,,,,,,, the over-run on the bottom.Hope this helps.

Usually an MO has no logo. No logo is referred to as "sterile".
