What questions should go in the FAQ?

Title says it all. I'm going to put together a "Stupid Sharp Knives" FAQ, so I want to collect questions from you all. I'll get it started with a few questions/topics, in no particular order:

  • What do you personally use your knives for?
  • What is a "Stupid Sharp" knife and how is one made? (we'll work off this)
  • Edge Geometry: what's the thought process behind your solid performers? Primary and secondary bevels, preferred combinations, application-dependent edge geometry, etc.
  • What steels do you like to work with and use? Why?
  • General Heat Treat info?
  • Carbidized Titanium knives: What are they, why are you making them, and how do you make them?
  • Your preferred handle designs and materials? Why?
  • What are my sheathing options?
  • How do I maintain my "Stupid Sharp" knife? (Steel and carbidized Ti)
  • Current "standard offerings" and pricing info? (e.g. BT4 and variations to drop-point EDC to pikal to Ti necker etc.)
  • What's your current lead time?
  • Are you really not doing Busse Mods anymore? Whom do you recommend I contact for mod work?
  • Best way to contact you?

hahah, did you paint that Russ?

I have a pair of white vans I don't wear anymore. It'll make a good canvas for something like that, but more bad! haha.

Hmm how about when and where will a list be for when Ban get's to doing more small batch orders.. like a dozen or 2 of knife xxx, then we could jump on a list and poof, he'd have mad knives to make :D

Haha, no, I didn't paint it. Just a pic I found online :) Seemed perfect.

Ok, back on topic :D

Sloth, I get where you're going, I'll talk it over with Ban to see if something like that would work with him :thumbup:

Ok, sounds like we're good to go for now. I'm going to work with what we have, things can be added in later.
