I too have had to buy a small plain insingo Sebenza. It is a lot of cash to spend on a great knife.

How many of us had to really think about their purchase , rather than just go out and buy one?

Money is tight all over the world , but it seems from these forums , that we are all buying CRK's like there is no money shortage.

Luckily my SWMBO agreed to my purchase in July of this year , and now I have my knife , a brother to my year 2000 regular plain small Sebby.

I still think they are the best production folders out there.

Thanks Chris and Framar (my UK dealer).

ANOTHER satisfied customer.

I don't know whats going on else where in the world but our economy is booming! I can't even find guys for our rigs and we start them out at a hundred grand a year. I'm buying knives non stop.

Cool, send me an application, i'm there:)

I'm feeling it here. Putting off buying a mere Case Peanut because the money is needed elsewhere.

I find knives as good as any place to put what little money I have. If it comes down to it, I can usually turn them into cash fairly quickly and in the meantime I get some enjoyment out of them. They may not make me any money, but are sure blowing away my land holdings as an investment. They also may come in handy to cut my throat if the economy gets much worse.:D

I recently got my first "real" job out of grad school. So I think I'll start laying down some cash for CRK's after Christmas, although a Sebenza would make a great gift...

The book "Radical" by David Platt ruined my knife buying future. Every man needs a good folder, don't get me wrong! But where your treasure is, there your heart is also.

I've become VERY frugal with what I buy anymore. There is a lot I see that I want to buy but I can't seem to pull the trigger.
Fferrel1 has a great point.

You buy a car and 4 years later you lose $25,000.00 (if not more) on depreciation, you buy knives and if you buy the right ones, sometimes you sell them for more than you bought them (even after using them). Go figure

I just bought a new large Insingo. I justify the cost by selling other knives that I don't use.

About a year ago I decided to sell off my safe queens and use the money towards a large and small Sebenza (only under the condition that they wouldn't sit in the safe either). Needless to say I've kept my promise to myself. My small silver contrast is my office carry and the large micarta is my weekend carry. The only problem is, they completely bumped my other EDC's out of the rotation. Looks like I will need to sell those and buy an Umnumzaan.

If you really want me to. We have lots of guys coming up from the states to work. "

Rob send me an application also!!

Tell me about the economy, I just passed my 3rd year without serious employment. If it was not for some houses we rent out, and that my wife persuaded me not to take advantage of all those great equity loans & re-fi's about 5 yrs ago. I would be out of my house and on the streets (Live in So. Kalifornia)

Ah the Sebbie safe queens that were once in my collection, as well as a half dozen .45's and a couple lever-actions. At least I've held on to my first Sebbe a lg regular BG42, and my current EDC a DT raindrop small 21 with Barry H scale. Had 3 years running of Ltd Large models one year was both SS damascus & a SV30 version. and a couple of other damascus larges were in the mix.

Sebbies are like fine art, We are only the caretakers....
Enjoy them while you got 'em
