Seems like a lot of people are missing, what are you all up to? Vacations? Summertime blues? Let`s get some conversations going.
 
I'm part busy covering the few classes I have and covering a friends who retired, housework, yardwork etc and part adjunct teacher summer time scramble to find enough money to live on, it's fun, like playing baseball with hand grenades with the pins pulled out :)
 
My garden and job are keeping me super busy. Canning and freezing then 8 hours on the job. Summer is hectic for sure.

Not to mention the little one and wife making plans all the time lol
 
Work, but my two-week vacation starts this Saturday......vacation from my professional job, but not work around the homestead!! I'll be using many sharp objects/tools to take care of things that have been building up!!
 
Hey guys. Work work work. Been jumping a lot lately. My dad just got stationed down at Homestead AFB and took over the wing. So I was down there for his change of command this weekend with my family. Was a great time. So glad they are close.

Thank you very much. They are my life. Trying to find out a way to make the babies stop growing though....... ;). If you know a way let me know! :thumbup: :D
 
Just got back from vacation in the western mountains of NC, much cooler, rained almost everyday but in the late afternoon or evening so we got to do a lot. Went to Mt. Mitchell and Grandfather mountain, great scenery. Also checked out the Biltmore, wow is an understatement. Lost what day it was so I know it was a great vacation. I did buy a Case slim trapper at Mast's general store.
 
It's been quite busy at work this summer. Then between college prep for my son, funeral to go to, garden, yardwork, etc., there hasn't been any time in the shop for me.

I'm helping a friend move on Saturday, but I think I can get out to the flea market on Sunday morning!
 
Lots and lots of work, volunteering a lot at our local animal shelter, 2 moves in the last year, and planning a wedding that will be happening in 3.5 months!
 
On layoff, took Maggie to Wisconsin for a few days.

DTEL Pistol training class all last weekend to get my blue and tan cards, and NRA BIT and RO training tomorrow evening and then all day Sat and Sun.

Worked on the neighbors push mower - fixed it. Worked on another neighbors JD lawn tractor, fixed it. Tuned up the same widow gal's weed wacker. Fixed it.

Helped Kirill change the oil on his new Focus ST, and put on a new rear sway bar this afternoon.

Ready to have a few drinks and watch the tube with Maggie this evening.

Monday evening we will celebrate Emily's and my birthdays with the family (they have been in Florida for the week).

Other than that, not much.

Work and family keep me busy. On clear Moonless nights I'm out with my telescope. Won't take vacation till October for a trip to New Mexico.

good thing I'm busy at work -- Andy's idea of time off would kill me!
 
Busy summer here. Working as usual, but trying to get away with the family as much as possible. Took today off and spent the day in the mountains which I try to do any chance I get.

No knife content, but here's a pic of how we spent part of the day:

Mostly work and trying to do a few things with the kids this summer before school starts.

Took the kids to the Smoky Mtns. for a couple days, trip to the zoo, to a friends farm to ride horses, painted my son's room, picked up a second job (mowing for an elementary school) went to a local pistol match, family reunion

Other than that not much going on now that I think about it.
