Anything special you want to see? I`ve got some ideas, but usually they don`t quite pan out like I think they will, so let`s hear yours.

I'd like to see a 6 to 7 inch Nessmuk. I need one knife that size and I think a thin Nessmuk would be perfect.

My ewok in pocket sheath as a special. It is such an awesome setup I think others would love it.

It`s going to be the April Special. I still need some photos of it out of the sheath. When you get time post some for me.

Want to make myself a knife sometime next year and I also am in line for a pocketmuk, but might change it to ?. I think 2011 might bring me more folders than fixed for a change.

I'd LOVE a special run on the Scout JR or maybe a matching set Scout Jr and Hatchet.

I want one or both of those!!!!

I also plan on drawing up some BBQ tools that I'd like to see come to fruition. I'll throw them up on this forum to see if you are interested in them when I get it all together.

Owing to my Norse background, I'm always on the lookout for knife designs that could be incorporated into what I want in a seax. A few months ago I commissioned another maker to put one together based on a drop point hunter that I bought from him earlier. That seax should be here in the next couple weeks. But about a month after setting up that order, I happened to see this knife that John made [see pic] and thought if the blade were extended to about 8" and 1/4" thick and 1-1/2" wide - that would make an excellent seax. Finishing touches would be a highly figured grade of ironwood scales, then ship it off to Noah for one of his exceptional leather sheaths and, that should do it.
Of course my personal financial situation would have to be in a better condition than it is presently, but I am confident that before the end of 2011, I will be posting pictures of the finished project in action.

I would be more than happy to work with you on making your own knife, just pay for materials. Let me know soon about the Pocketmuk, it`s almost time to order materials. Folders? Bah humbug!!! :D

Just don`t hold me to the quote I sent you. That was for 3/16" and no ironwood!

That would certainly be seaxy! It will be interesting to see a JK seax, certainly, and also interesting to see what I could do with leather for it.

As for what I'd like to see, I'd like to see a Wharncliffe design with a wicked high grind--as high and shallow as John can make it so it slices like a laser no matter how deep you cut--and a nice round, bulbous handle (probably in wenge). That said, I'd still like my ASK (Apocalyptic Survivor Knife) made someday, but we'll have to see about finances next year for either one :P

Nice to hear that you're on board with the concept Noah.

Id LOVE to see a 12" machete type deal. Something along the lines of Fiddlebacks but more, dare I say, "Johnesk" in its design!

A scout or lobo with a clip point or a swedge. I know you usually or only work in O1 and 1095 but I would be in for a upgraded steel (not that there is anything wrong with the ones you use). Maybe a good stainless or more exotic carbon. I know these materials are more costly but it seems to be what alot of people are wanting these days and it doesn't look like many mind paying more for more options. Maybe the thickness on a clip point lobo would be 1/4 or close to it. I have never owned one of Noah's sheaths but from the looks of his work I would surely trust him to come up with a great sheath to compliment any knife. That is what I would like for 2011. Y'all be sure to have a Happy New Year.
