what schrade do i have here?

Can't see the tang stamp up close. What does it say, exactly...

Looks like a "tortoise shell" celluloid handled 2 bladed regular jack. The schrade cut co. stamping indicates that it was made prior to 1945. Nice looking old jack you have there, you dont find many that have survived with the celluloid handles as they have a tendency to deteriorate.

Okay, first, that knife dates between 1917-1946.

Without knowing the closed length of the knife, I will say it is the pattern 2214S or 2264S; this knife was brass lined, with nickel silver bolsters, caps, and shield, cleaned inside, and had the large blade crocus polished on one side.

The knife should be 3 1/2"(2214S) or 3 1/4"(2264S)

shes not exactly perfect . she has a "Y" shaped deep scratch in the handle , some black spots on the main blade , other then that shes excellent condition.
shes one of my rarer schrades . i also have ; 867uh , 3OT , 2 34OTs , schrade fruit sampler knife , and a 1983 heritage series . the tortoise shell is beautiful to look at , and worth every cent i paid for her. you can see the black spots and "y" scratch in the photo. still has perfect snap. i wonder what it was worth when it was made?

In the 1934 supplement pricelist; The 2214S was sold to retailers at 9.35 a dozen. A "jobber" could get them for 7.00 per doz.

thanks for the info guys . i`d love to EDC this (and use it) but with Aussie knife laws it might get confiscated
