What set up do you have for Wicked Edge?

New to Wicked Edge but getting good results so far. What are you guys out there using Diamond Stones, Ceramic Stones, Strops ? In what grit and combo? Anyone going all the way down to .025 Micron? Anyone using the Chosera Stones? Anyone find that the need the curved stones? Whats getting the best results out there?

I have all the standard stones thru ultra fine and 1 set of leather strops with the 10/14 micron paste. I would like to get another set of strops and try some alternative compounds. So far I do like the system. I also got a set of curved stones as I do some sharpening for a friend at a market sometimes and I see some recurved blades. Took me a few goes to get the hang of it but now my results are excellent!! Happy to share what little I know with you so hit me up if you need it. Just get some old blades (or your neighbors cuz anything will be an improvement) and experiment. ;-)

I have the standard Diamonds, strops with the paste and a full set of Choseras. I think they give me a lot of options depending on the knife.

Thanks for the reply and you offer Never Dull, do you think you need the curved stones ? have you tried to do the recurved without them?
twtom what kind of results are you getting from Choseras? can you compare it to the diamonds and stops? Can you mix the stones or if you use Choseras you do the whole knife with the set?

I tried using the std stones on a curve but it only contacts the edges and it started to powder so I figured the radiused stones would be better and save my flat stones from damage. I would like to get the Choseras but thats serious $$$. What setup do you have? How many blades have you sharpened so far?

I have the standards + 800-1000 dia 1200-1600 ceramic 4 strops 5-3.5 and 1-.5 micron have done 5 knifes or so only 1 with the 1-.5 strops as I just got then. I'm happy with them so far. I am having some trouble getting the mirror all the way to the heal of the blade, you have/had that trouble? How do you fix that? 1 of the reasons I ask about the choseas is that my favorite step is the ceramics I love the feedback I get from them and wondered if the choseas are like that?
