For all of my fixed, straight edged knives, I've been using the Work Sharp Guided Sharpening System. Works great, especially as it uses diamond sharpening plates. Granted, Himalayan Imports doesn't use D2 steel, but it's metals are first rate for knives. It's the radically curving nature of the blades that has me wondering. Ceramic rods are fine, but obviously not all that would be necessary, if one were using HI's fine blades on a regular basis.
What do you use for your khukuris? Just ordered a Lansky puck, like used for sharpening axes, shovels, ect. Grit is nowhere near what you'd use to sharpen a knife, scary-sharp... And that's the rub. Where now? Admittedly, my khukuris have not had the proper usage that many of you use yours. For me, that may change in the future, physical rehab not withstanding...
So, what to you use, and do you like the results? Any and all suggestions, gratefully accepted, and appreciated.
Thanks!
