as you all know they have started to shipp.

so the first question that pops into mind.

What kind of pants/skirt are you getting for your baby!

i will for sure get another mashedcat, but i am also interested in a matching set of leather for the her and the big sister (NM FBM).

so what are your choices?

speak up and lets drink!

I've got a pre-order in with Chuck at Chuddy Bear for a leather 3/4 ride. I went with Kydex for the NM FBM though.

If you are going with leather there is none better than Chuck aka Chuddybear!!!

If you dont have any of his work you are missing out.

I'm hoping a couple of the sheath makers will make a small run to fit the NMSFNO. That way, we could get sheaths for them (albeit, not uniquely personalized, but still great sheaths) and maybe save some dough as well, since they're printing a bunch up at once and don't need to customize them as much. If I was an up and coming sheath maker, I would do up batches following each Busse release and offer them on the forums. Maybe the senior makers are too busy for these kinds of runs, but it sure would be nice if they offered some. If they're too busy with their individual orders, there's gotta be some less-busy sheath makers out there that could step up and deliver for the Busse crowd.

I like leather, which is always my choice over kydex unless I'm heading for a prolonged stay outdoors. Since Chuddy has already been mentioned (he makes a great heavy-duty sheath), I'll recommend MikeyMoto. Top notch work, and in the U.S. for easy shipping. His style is a bit lighter (in weight) than Chuddy's, which can be nice depending on the application, and he is a master of his craft as well. There are others. Martin Swinkel is awesome, if you're willing to send your knife overseas.

I'll second Swinkels' work. I have a gorgeous leather/kydex hybrid from him. Really nice.

+1 MikeyMoto for leather, he's doing some good stuff!

Edit: I also will have the CG & LE NMSFNO for production!!!!!!!

Anyone know if the large SpecOps Combat Master will fit the NMSFNO? I kinda like the specops sheaths.

Kydex is tough to beat for hard use/extended adventures. A nice complement to the line of knives that Jerry makes. As such, I can say that I'm extremely happy with the A-7 sheath Brian Wagner made for my ASH.

is there a difference in maximum thickness of the handle scales between the machine and hand shaped? might be useful to know for kydex which i may be getting.
hmm, okuden or mashed cat? i've owned both, and i'm torn . . . .

steelnut does exactly this in Kydex. I assume he has an NMSFNO on order and will hit the Exchange soon with available sheaths.

Okuden, of course! I have yet to buy any brand of kydex that matches Brian's quality. Others are good, but Okuden is the best. Best knife, best kydex.
