What should be my last knife?

I have to control my spending for a year.
I just purchased an expensive laptop and software and other things so I can make a career change that'll give me a better and happier life. It's an exciting change. (I won't have to offset my career-unhappiness anymore by just buying a bunch of nice knives, among other bad habits, to keep me happy.) BUT, I have to take a break for a while to pay for that stuff. It'll all be for the better and all work out within a year or so. I want to stop buying knives until January 2005 or until I pay it all off.

I want to buy ONE LAST Microtech Auto before I stop buying knives. What should it be?

Realistically, so not to dig myself much deeper in dept, I've decided to spend less than $200 on it.

I own a mix of a bunch of all different MT knives; manuals and autos. I won't say what I have, so I can get all kinds of ideas and opinions.

I'M LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT'S JUST SLIGHTLY COOLER THAN THE USUAL FOR A GRAND FINALLY FOR THE YEAR!

(For a minute I THOUGHT it was going to be this cool blue UMS EMS with the medical symbol on the back of the blade. I just got it and the blade is off center so it kind of was a kill-joy for me.) This would have been the perfect thing!

But, you know, something like that. Just something a little different and cool that I can call the last knife I bought this year, while I pay off those other things. But it has to be something I won't be disappointed with. It has to be perfect with none of the recent Microtech Quality-control flaws. It doesn't have to be a small run. It doesn't even have to be a big knife or custom or hand-ground or anything like that...

I just want to make my last knife purchase this year to be a Microtech Auto that's just a little different than the norm in some little way. This way I can end my knife-buying year on a VERY HAPPY note and, therefore, not hate the decision TOO much.

Suggestions? Help me out.

The one someone sticks in your back!.... :D

But really... this is an evolution...
You get one, you get rid of one to get a better one.

You don't end till you don't want any more knives...

Last knife???

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

*wipes tears*

Good one!

Microtech Auto, under $200? Used LLC maybe?

For slightly over $200 you could get the new UTX70. That'd be my personal reccomendation.

I think that an Amphibian auto would be a great choice. It is the next auto on my MT list. If you do not own one, a MT LCC DA would be a great pick also. High cool factor with the hidden release. Plus you can get them in perfect shape, used on the forums within your price limit. Good luck! :D

It's just the last knife of the YEAR!

I really like the UDT/UMS models. I think I'll try to get something along those lines. I really want a M-UDT, but I can't find one anywhere. Maybe an Urban Camo UMS, but I can't find one of those either.

The UDT/UMS models I have are an old tip-down LUDT, a bodycote/black blade LUDT that's the newer tip-up carry, a red UMS and a blue EMS UMS. So something different than that.

My knowledge of auto's is limited, but I have an LCC D/A in black s30v w/carbon fiber -- WHAT A KNIFE!! Very satisfying.

I've also been rather partial to the Kestrel, but I also think thePhoenix is pretty unique, albeit not an auto.

Last knife? The very thought gives me the pee Shivers. No more new knives? That makes my butt pucker.just ain't right. That's like having the same centerfold in playboy every month.
