Last weekend I rolled up to where the Mad Scientist lives, and had the intention of making sure we had a crazy breakfast. As my culinary advisor, it was time to put him to task and see what we could cobble together. Ingredients are, in no particular order, 18 eggs (divided between 4 people) sausage, peppered pork sidemeat (leaner fatback according to Pointy), cheese, both cheddar and mozzarella, diced onion, diced green pepper, mushrooms, bbq pork rib meat, some ridiculous gravy (ridiculously awesome), roma tomatoes, sour cream, and some homemade black bean and corn salsa from Pointy's mom. Also, hashbrowns. They were mixed in with the egg layer.

The onions and peppers were cooked in the leftover sausage grease (deglazed with beer) and the mushrooms were sauteed in the leftover pork sidemeat grease (also deglazed with beer).

Here are the pics. BK5 ruled the kitchen that day.

We only made it through half of the stuff before we were all too full to even move. About 4-4.5 hours later we tackled the rest of it. It was glorious.

carbon steel plus cast iron for the win!

But it looks like there's some fungus growing on your omlette. Might wanna get that looked at. ;)

That looks ridiculously good. I even had a good breakfast, but I want a do-over.

That looks fantastic. Since I now have a BK-5 perhaps I need to cook some breakfast.

I'm still a little tired from eating part of all of that, and it's been like 6 days... Now that's a heck of a breakfast. :D
