What should I buy next?

Random and Mini Task - conquered

ZdpTi MC - conquered

A ton of other "late model" limited editions, conquerered (SG2s, Titaniums, composites, etc)

Starkey Ridge and Talon - conquered

Factor in that I HATE lockbacks...what else should I be in search of...what is the next Holy Grail for me?

The only thing that comes to mind right now it the ZT0100, just because I dont own any fixed bladed Kershaws aside from the Outcast (which I love), and the 0100 makes the Outcast look like a fat poorly educated cousin (and for the price difference, it definitely should).

Got a stack of Wasabis, and until the old lady learns to hand wash those instead of the dish washer, I dont see any master piece KO Shuns in my kitchen

She chips the blade on a Shun Santuko and I'll use the remainder on her favorite cat =P

Better make me some more SG2/Ti combos GG. Times a wasting.

Buy a Hawk next. G-10 handles, 3-5/16" long ATS-34 blade, long discontinued. I believe they were made with titanium handles too.

How about one of those titanium / ZDP Leeks?

Yeah, Ive seen those...holes in the handle...hey, Im picky, what can I say!

I hope DV, SV, or our traitorous WV fan drops through here with an idea.

If KG drops me an idea, I'll never find it or be able to justify buying it :)

traitorous???

Go get yer self a 25th Anniversary. It only took me 1 yr and 3 months. Ready, set, go.....:D

I work in Huntington....that's bad enough.:p

I have a pic but no model number. I'll get you more info tomorrow. There were a couple hundredish made. KO ground some of the blades, Tom Mayo did the others. Ti liners, Ti Bolsters, Polished G10, 440v blade. It's basically a KO midtech.

I will dig up some links later.

I just thought of another one.... the entire bump collection. That takes some time and is pretty satisfying. And, no, I'm not kidding. Pick a series and collect them all.

Might I suggest a TIZDP Leek? Or perhaps a S60V Blur? And do you have all of the Talons yet?

Hrm...I'm kinda "Leeked out" (I know, sacrilege). I have the SG2 Blur, I dont see it getting any better than that short of some Ti.

I have the Ti Talon on the way, once I get the Ti, I am going to decide on the others.

I agree that finding a specific model and getting them all might be the right path...decisions.

I think Im going to go on a Shallot rampage!

Shallot is probably the right way to go now. They are all avail. at normal street price and there are more on the horizon.

Yeah, collecting the pieces "before my time" is pretty pricey. I'm a big fan of the Shallot, I think its where I wanted the Leek to go in size, and they kept it slim so its still very tolerable to carry in dressier attire.

I agree with you, J_Curd... the Shallot is perfect. It's like a Leek XL - i find it fits in my hand a lot better than the Leek, though. Fills it out better.

I'd personally get one of every Shallot variety :)

ps you could also buy some of the new ones coming out - the RJ Martin Zings, the Williams OD-1 (if it ever comes out!), etc etc. I know i'm getting at LEAST one of each.

J, an inexpensive few sets of LE's you can still get are the Lee William's all black ENER-G's (not too sure of the exact number of each) and the set of 3 Blue Blurs (200 each made).

I agree...the Shallot is a wonderful knife, and I hope there will be many sprint runs on this platform in the future!

i personally am gonna dump out the piggy bank when there's a shallot with a CPM-S30V blade and a Ti handle... but i'd also break the bank for a ZDP-189 with a Ti handle. That would be amazing...

Maybe not a grail, but if you want something that's rare you could try to find an ENER-G II that has the Ken Onion etch on the blade.
