I've been a Spyderco guy so far, I just wanna try another brand out. I have a Military and a Delica.

Here's what I'm going for:

Under $100 preferably less and preferably used...

Suggestions?

I have a Military and a Delica.

Get a 94x series knife, they are my favorites. For me it is the ideal size for a carry knife, 3.4" blade. I for one like aluminum handles and these knives are real cutters. Just my $0.02

The mini Skirmish and Nimravus Cub look good, and have gotten good reviews on here. My Apparition performs well.

I doubt you could find a Mini Skirmish, in good condition, for less than $100.

For all of the bad sellers and buyers stories out there, scam Bay is still a viable option.

I like all of the ones you've mentioned so far, I really like the 710SBT and the skirmish.

I'm through with Ebay when it comes to buying knives, this forum is a lot friendlier, a lot cheaper, and it's faster. I don't have to wait for the auctions to end.

I like the skirmish the most, but I have to try one of their axis lock knives out...

I'm a Spyderco (and Al Mar) folder guy. I wanted to try out a Benchmade with an Axis lock to see what it's all about. I really wanted the 520 but I already have a Manix and a SERE 2000 (both are outstanding knives!) and I don't really want to spend over a hundred bucks again for another folder. I just ordered the 551 from New Graham for $65. The specs look good on this knife and I like the drop point blade. We'll see.

I would go for a BM 550 Griptilian (around $65 on the net) or a RitterGrip ($100).

Both are great knives, the RitterGrip has a better blade steel.

Just checked on Mini Skirmish for Buy it Now on scam Bay, yeah, the prices are not below 100. For the Nimravus Cub however...

Personally, I like the design of the Benchmade Nimravus fixed blade. I just got one a few days ago off of Ebay. I paid like $62 or something for mine. If you hurry there is another one listed right now that has like 4 hours left I think and it is supposedly brand new. Minimum bid as of right now is $60 I believe. From what I have read they seem to be damn good knives so I would try and scoop this one up if I were you. Unless, that is you are looking for a folder!

I'd go with one of the Grip incarnations. To me it has become the "poster child" for BM. Be sure to let us know what you get. tf

i would go with the 710 after reading alot of reveiws on it i hear nothing but good things

I was a huge spyderco fan and I still am, but a couple of weeks ago I purchased a mini griptillian. Shortly after I bought a full size griptillian and soon I will be buying a switchback. Careful they can be just as addicting as spydercos.

I'd say try to get an ARES or a 710. These are solid knives with a solid lock.

The Ritter Grip is a great knife and has taken over, for now, as my EDC. However, it doesn't feel as solid as the ARES and 710. I just prefer the blade shape.

I just got my first Benchmade..an Ares.....very nice knife...........eyeing a Ritter Grip next
