What Should I Use to Secure the Screws on my Scales and Blade?

Hey all.

I have 3 or 4 knives I carry in rotation every day. Naturally, at times, I need to clean the dust, lint and other stuff that finds it’s way into every nook and cranny. I only do this every 6 months or so, unless it really needs it sooner.

I would like to get some suggestions on what I can use in the threads to keep them from backing out. I have a couple knives that will become slightly loose after a couple weeks of opening and closing.

I know I need to use a thread locker, but I don’t know which one. I want to still be able to take it apart once a year or so.

I got in my odds and ends boxes the other day and found a tube of PERMATEX MEDIUM STRENGTH Threadlocker BLUE. It comes in a blue squeeze bottle.

Would this be too strong to take it apart later on or is it not strong enough? Maybe it’s just right…I hope.

Please help me, if you don’t mind.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

If Permatex blue is like Loctite blue then that’s perfect for this. Strong enough to keep it in place, but not so strong as to make it a bitch to take out.
