I'm getting ready to remove my factory handle on my BK-9 and I want to make sure I got the right size Allen wrench. Is it a Allen screw or hex or what. Any help would be very appreciated.I have not even got the knife yet it should be here by monday and my new scales should be here By Thursday. I'm just thinking ahead

5/32" is 0.15625", which is 3.96875 mm. That means the 4mm wrench is going to fit just a tad tighter and take up any slop in the machining. Either one should work fine.

If you Flexxx-carry a spare Allen wrench, like any self-respecting Beckerhead should, the 4mm is slightly larger.

That explains that. Thanks G.

I like how "Flexxx carry" is in the dictionary now. I Flexxx carry the remote sometimes just to stay in style.

metric is dumb....jk we need to make metric standard, its just better all around

My little wrench that stays in the Becker box has no markings.
I just calipered it, and it came up .156". Probably a 5/32.
Great. Now I have to go pick up a 4mm wrench. Thanks a lot guys.

(From a popular fastener suppliers website)

i just use a reverse drill or ez-out and never worry about sizes :)

4mm really does the job, really snug fit. For all you metric folks, a 3.5mm is damn near perfect for tweener handle bolts. Won't find them in the hardware store around the corner though... egay is your friend.

Forgive me for sounding like an asshole here.....

I had no idea this topic was, or could be....such an issue.......and an ensuing debate.

Shit.....I went to the tool box, tried the different ones in the handle until I found one that fit. Metric or standard was not a concern.

I seem to recall someone once told me........its only rocket science if you're in fact taking apart a effing rocket. LOL;)
