Help! I am seeing someplaces listing it as a 3 1/4" and other as a 3 5/8s". I think the larger size would make a great whittler. What size is this knife really? And how different is the size from a Case model # 63032?

Thanks,
Charles

This is the 44 pattern stockman, the correct size is 3¼". Noticeably smaller than the 032 pattern at 3⅝".

The Case 63032 (bone and jigged delrin, CV and SS versions availavble) and 53032 (stag) are in current production and easy to find.

I have a 63032 CV Medium Stockman in Chestnut Bone. It's the same frame as the Small Texas Jack.

I've also got the 6344 CV Medium Stockman (3 1/4") in Red Bone:

As you can see, the blade configuration and design of the handles are similar. The main difference is the size.

Case confuses things by naming five different patterns "Medium Stockman" ranging from 3 1/4" up to 3 5/8"

For me the size sweet spot is the 6318 and 63032, at around 3 5/8" long.

Ok, this makes a lot more sense. The 6318 and 63032 are close in size but there is a slight difference it would seem.

63032 has the squared off bolsters and a pen blade.

6318 has rounded bolsters and a spey blade.

Sorry, 6344. And the 6344 is 3 1/4" instead of the 3 5/8ths ". Am I confused? Yes, very much so.

A 63032 is what I am looking for. Thanks for the help!
