Greetings,
I have choosen a logo design, with my name embedded. Before I send off the art work to get a stencil made, I thought I would ask what is the average size of your logo? I was thinking 5/8" wide by 1" long. Thoughts?

Thanks,
Dennis

If you're only going to get one stencil, it should be small enough
to fit where you want it, on your smallest blade.

My current stamp is the larger of the two "standard" sizes. I think it is 5/8 and it is too big for some small blades. I am going to switch to electro-chemical etching not only to reduce screwups, but also so I have a bit more flexibilty on where I can put the mark.

FWIW, I'm a knife collector and I don't like HUGE logos on my knives. I know who made my knives and so do the collectors.

Let the beauty of the blade speak for itself.

I find that my large logo (3/4" wide) is too large for most of my knives. I prefer the my smaller one that is 1/2" wide by about 3/8" tall. The large one only gets used for very big blades, the small one would work for either.

Thanks everyone. Great feedback and I have decided to go with a smaller logo (1/2" by 3/8").

Regards,
Dennis
